2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class exterior
As there are more body styles offered here what the newest 2016 model release, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicles all share a cohesive design which makes them similar in a way and extremely handsome. Depending on the body of the car you can get different packages available but also different wheels and LED designs as well. But in fact all body styles are slim and sleek and have an elegant exterior design to them. The coupe models particularly embrace this design with eh lowered roofline while it does not boast well for the convertible trims like that as in manages to stretch the portions of the car in an awkward way. As for the sedan and the wagon trims, the design of the roofline makes them feel a bit conservative. There are some bold details added to the designs and are especially referred to the headlamp design. Merging them together is a particularly good design cue for the coupe and convertible options.
The design of the body is sporty and elegant for all trims and it is thanks to the newly added creases to the car. It particularly helps the coupe and the convertible versions as it adds a bit more pronounced wheel flares to them adding even more elegance to their styles. The grille is also changeable depending on the model, the Luxury levels get a three-bar grille while the Sport ones receive a plate-sized star logo embedded in a twin-louver grille. On both versions there are some bigger air intakes added down below and it looks particularly great with the trademark design of the headlamps that have not been changes for the E-Class.
The inside of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class vehicle does feel a bit conservative then before but nevertheless it is a very modernistic setting for any person climbing inside the car. The car does not have a curvatious design inside but does include some nice creates and sharp corners to its design which accounts for the traditionally luxurious look of the interior which as always merges with the outside of the car perfectly. Inside all of the models in the E-Class you can expect to get wood, metal, and refined plastic trims to which you can add something form the long list of customization choices that you have available for the car. The stock choices are in fact the burl walnut or black ash.
A very classy addition to the inside design is the tank-style analog clock on the dash, which does not only seem luxurious and classy like that but also gives a bit of traditional and natural look for the E-Class vehicles. The added matte-plastic buttons for audio and climate controls are perhaps too much and do not need to be placed in such a large number, so perhaps decluttering the dash would be something to aim for in the future. You also get a big LCD monitor for infotainment features and a big roller knob as well.
As mentioned, one of the advantages of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class are huge choices when it comes to choosing a powertrain. You can get the E350 gasoline engine that has direct injection and provides 302 horsepower. The offered 4.6-liter twin-turbo V-8 within the E550 provides us with an output of 402 horsepower. The E400 trim gives us a twin turbo option that amounts to 329 hp, This engine is also used for some body styles of the E350 and E550 trims. The top of the lineup is reserved for the E63 AMG performance edition vehicle which uses a 5.5-liter biturbo V-8 that churns out 577 of horsepower. You can opt for a Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive for the better part of the coupe version and in some of the sedans, but it comes as a standard option on all of the wagons and of course the AMG versions. The gasoline powered engines can accelerate to 60 mph in 7 seconds time, but the AMG is the only one which can do that in 4 seconds.
