2016 Infiniti q60 Concept – Release Date, Specs & Info

2016 Infiniti q60 release date, price, specs – The new and upcoming 2016 Infiniti Q60 is set to continue with top notch performance and curb appeal. Some of the highlights will include a powerful and efficient V6 engine, updated technology and a refined cabin that will certainly make the Q60 a solid choice within its segment of premium sport coupes.

The vehicle comes with several novelties which include new interior and exterior styles and technology, and an improved V6 engine. Going by what Infiniti people are saying, the Infiniti Q60 concept car is set to evolve from a concept car to a production one almost unchanged.

In such a scenario therefore, we should be expectant of something revolutionary and will certainly be among the sharpest-looking new sports coupes since the Audi A5. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and admittedly some of the cues in the concept are overwrought: the Formula 1-style front airdam, the gaping grille, the bodacious wheels, etc.

However, the taut lines stretching from the front fascia to the rear fenders, and the hood position and low grille, may make the whole process of transforming those features to a production vehicle difficult especially with today’ pedestrian impact safety standards.

But despite my reservations, if only 5% of what the concept displays will make it to the production model, the new Q60 will admittedly be a head-turner.

Engine Specs – 2016 Infiniti Q60

Under the hood of the new vehicle will be a turbocharged 3L V6, which will be a replacement for the naturally aspirated V6 model in the existing vehicle. The new 6-cylinder promises to offer exemplary power and efficiency unmatched by today’s V6. That said, the output is projected at around 330 hp and 270 pounds of torque and has a fuel return of 22 mpg when combined.

Speculated to return as standard equipment will be the 7-speed auto transmission system, but whether Infiniti repetitions the existing 6-speed manual will be anyone’s speculation. Given the emphasis Infiniti has put on the Q60, we have no choice than to be hopeful.

The Concept coups spy photos we are displaying show a RWD configuration, however, judging from previous models, we should expect the redesigned line-up to also include a convertible and an optional AWD system.

No confirmations have been made as to whether the refreshed Q60 will offer an optional 4-cylinder powerplant, as all of our inquiries and calls went unanswered. However, some officials are on record saying that the Q60 will be among the most competitive in the segment. It is no secret that a new 211 horsepower 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder is bound for China and Europe.

Both the current Infiniti Q50 and Q60 lag behind in terms of features and available options, but that is poised to change with the entry of the 2016 Infiniti Q60.  The next-gen Q60 will follow closely the sedan’s offering, with standard leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED headlights, dual touchscreen displays and smartphone integration and Infiniti’s InTouch entertainment system, among other additions. Some of the safety features will include lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and lane keeping assist. Also, we should expect Direct Adaptive Steering to be bundled in one of the upper trim packages.

This system is especially handful since it removes the physical link between the front wheels and steering wheel and substitutes it for an electronic system. We have found its delay and absence of feedback disturbing and not worth of the cost factor.

Sadly, it may not come as a surprise when its bundled with packages that are meant to offer high-end security features. Admittedly, we don’t have the slightest idea as to the Q60 coupe’s dimensions, and we therefore, don’t know if the new model will address key flaws in the current model.

Price & Release Date – 2016 Infiniti Q60

The vehicle is planned for 2016 year release, but no exact details have been divulged to the public as yet. Would-be buyers can expect a base price of around 40,000 USD and up to $50,000. With that price range the Q60 will be left squarely to its traditional rivals, the BMW 4 series and Audi A5.

The later packs aggressive looks and an almost perfection, while the former may turn out to be the sharpest suit in the group, whilst immersed in cutting-edge personal technology. There isn’t a bad choice in the bunch, literally.

The most of it went in the back of the car at the second row of seats and it was where it was most needed as it adds both legroom and headroom. The front side of the car actually has a “double-wave” instrument panel design with pin LED lighting mounted above the center console and high-contrast gauges. The instrument panel also comes with a  7-inch color display with an integrated trip computer, which is where the navigation of the car is also placed. 2016 Infiniti QX80 Release Date, Specs & Info

2016 Infiniti QX80 Release Date, Price, Review, Specs, Interior – Infiniti continues its launch of the 2016 fleet with the newest version of its Infiniti QX80 automobile. A luxury full-size SUV is one of the needed and most important ones in the segment as it manages to compete against the most luxurious ones in the field. It can rival even the Cadillac Escalade with tis luxury and design and is going to be a hit on the market next year.

The car is going to mainly carry over its design which is mainly due to the fact that it has already been reshaped with the 2015 version. The redesign brought then was a good and ample one as it brought many innovations and styling features that have shaped the car for years to come. So even the future model will not be eligible for a style update as this one brings a fairly good design offer.

The car made its debut 5 years ago at the 2010 New York auto show and it was immediately after that offered in Japan of course, but Australia as well. It has managed to make a name for itself on the US soil of course, but the second most cost-effective market for the QX80 is Australia. Currently there are only price ranges available for the Australian market while the US rates will be offered as the car nears its release date.

The exterior of the 2016 Infiniti QX80 vehicle has not changed considerably nor dramatically, but has included just enough of the modern cues and changes to make it ready for the next model year. This is a full-size SUV so we cannot expect it to be small thus the car retains its massive look but cuts away the boxy shape from before.

Instead it adopts some curvy lines and nice and stylish angles which make it much more interesting to look at and also makes you feel much more dominant from the inside. The front part of the car has also changed as the nose has been shorten, which was also the case with its QX70 counterpart. The grille is the same premium one seen in the majority of Infiniti vehicles and now also includes some low-swung headlamps. The roofline is a bit arching and accounts for an overall luxury look of the car. The roof actually ends up with a roof-mounted spoiler and has some large taillights which adequately fit into the design. This concludes the changes brought on the outside.

The inside of the car is actually a whole other story as the 2016 Infiniti QX80 has ended up with many new details and changes that make it an overall better, comfortable and modern vehicle. With the boxy architecture used for the rear part of the car the dimensions are just enough to provide more space on the inside and bring you an overall comfortable interior. Even the base trim gets a modern and comfortable inside which includes the use of premium leather upholstery and some mocha burl accents. There is also an option of getting the semi-aniline leather seats and Stratford burl accents. But if you opt for the Limited offer you will get an upgrade which includes quilted leather seats and open pore matte finish ash wood.

The Infiniti QX80 also holds some technological upgrades on the inside as well. The standard trims get a Bose 13-speaker premium sound system which, but the optional choice can sometimes make a lot of different as the higher trims get a premium 15-speaker surround sound system. Add different kind of packages and utilize the 7-inch monitors around the back and heated second row seats option. The front seats are heated which ever you chose it to be as they come as a standard choice for all vehicles. The car has also been upgraded with a large addition of safety equipment which besides the standard offer of safety gadgets also includes a rearview camera, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, collision warning system, around view monitor and cross-traffic alerts as well.

The engine of the 2016 Infiniti QX80 is the same one which has been used in the latest QX70 vehicle. Although it provides a massive power boost to the smaller model it does not make the same impression on the larger full-size SUV car, but it is an adequate addition to the car. Thus the power is provided by a 5.6-liter V-8 that makes 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. This engine setup is good enough to provide the acceleration of 0-60 mph of the vehicle in 7 seconds, although it really makes a difference with the mid-sized QX70. The car has the 7-speed automatic transmission as the only transmission choice and has a front-wheel drive standard offer and an optional all-wheel drive for an increased tow rating.
