Review

Three things have changed: both the Traverse LS and LT models have gained an additional 7 horsepower. The existing model is equipped with a 3.6L V6 engine hitched to a six-speed automatic transmission. While both the displacement and the transmission system remain the same, the power output has increased from 281 horsepower to 288 horsepower. However, the top-of-the-line model’s output have remained unchanged over the previous model. The other significant change has occurred on the trim lineup. The existing lineup consists of LS, LT, and LTZ, however, the LTZ gets replaced by Premier model/group. Lastly, the new model has seen a price drop or around $3,205.

Aside from the changes, the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse interior has also seen some improvements that Chevrolet is banking on to help it remain competitive in this segment awash with a plethora of alternatives. In addition to that, the Traverse comes with plenty of cargo space, top crash safety scores, a passenger seating capacity of up to eight passengers, and a smooth ride quality. Dimensions are as follows: length – 203.7”, height – 69.9”, and width – 78.5”. The maximum cargo capacity stands at 5,200 pounds – unchanged from the existing model.

On the flipside though, its massive size augmented by its curb weight of 4,713 pound, makes it quite a hustle to drive. And the overall interior refinement is starting to show some grey areas given the Traverse age relative to fresher and newer models thronging the segment for a share of the spoils.

In relation to GM’s crossover trio that also consists of 2017 GMC Acadia, and Buick Enclave, the large Traverse could very well be seen as the blue-collar member. It comes with nearly the same set of standard features as its siblings, which therefore means it is well-equipped with fresh technologies. The Chevy Traverse interior has been reworked by GMC and now looks elegant and upscale than before. The ride quality is laudable, and while drivers may not feel as though they’re behind the wheel of a Mini Cooper, the unwieldy feel offered by the 40.4 ft. turning circle makes it easier to wheel around.

We could go on and on about how good the Chevrolet Traverse 2017 has become, however, other vehicles in the segment has also become better for the new model year. Some of these include Hyundai Santa FeFord Explorer, Honda Pilot 2016, and 2016 Toyota Highlander.

The exterior of the 2017 Fiat 500X is going to have a very interesting composure to its design. It might be its greatest factor and one of its selling points as the car is going to adopt a very good looking exterior. All the signature performance parts of the Fiat brand are supposed to be carried over to the newest kind of design and are going to be incorporated in the newest Abarth car. The much more aggressive style is immediately noticed from first glance to the car and also some parts which add new revised bumpers, some much more muscular side skirts, and a rear diffuser that comes fitted under the bumper. One of the most obligatory parts are the dual exhaust system that are protruding at the back and of course a larger rolling stock. It is going to be a modded-up version of the 500X which it actually is.

Interior

The interior is going to be additionally modded-up as well. We get a really likeable look of the 2017 Fiat 500X as it adopts a more sporty look than it had before. Of course it was expected that we receive an upgraded look of the current 500X version and it was exactly the thing that was done here. The sporty details are made using the sport seats, first of all that have larger bolsters as they enable tighter embrace through the corners. The sport seats are added to help the performance orientated 500X gain more comfort for the passengers and particularly the driver who will control the car.

Engine

There are some particularly interesting options given to the powertrain of the 2017 Fiat 500X. As this is a performance vehicle the Abarth is going to be fitted with a 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder which was the same kind of an engine placed inside the 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider vehicle. This is a powertrain that is supposed to be a part of the 124 Abarth Spider that is going to come out somewhere around 2018. This engine is reported to be tuned up to gain an output of over 200 horsepower. The crossover might not gain the full 200 hp but it is plenty enough even to get a figure close to that one.

The vehicle is going to have some expanded suspension additions and a lower ride height. But the debate is more concentrated on whether the car is going to come with an all-wheel drive. All indications lead to the car receiving the AWD but it might happen that they decided to exclude it in order to save weight, so only for that reason we might get the 2017 Fiat 500X with a rear wheel drive.
