2017 Nissan 370Z Release Date, News and Rumors

2017 Nissan 370Z review

From the vantage point of practicality, the new 2017 Nissan 370Z still holds some appeal as a dedicated sports car. However, its appeal among its diehard fans is fast fading away as the market is awash with newer and more sophisticated models. The Nissan 370Z release date, according to multiple anonymous sources within Nissan ranks, should be expected this fall.

Similar to the existing model, the new Nissan 370Z 2017 comes with an excellent handling, a relatively low price, a strong V6, a cool rev-matching manual transmission system, and a high-quality interior. On the flipside though, it returns with dated technologies on the base model, lacks overall refinement, and there’s intrusive road and tire noise in the cabin.

For starters looking their way around, the Nissan 370Z current generation dates back to 2009 and is the latest in a long line of “Z” coupes and convertibles from Nissan that feature a six-cylinder power, a rear-wheel drive system, and a sporty styling. Seven years is ostensibly a long time for any car to be on the market unchanged especially considering the rate at which newer and fresher models are thronging the market nowadays.

With an impressive traction and strong engine, the Nissan 370Z 2017 performance on the track is dizzying albeit not extraordinary. It prioritizes much on performance and performance than on cruising and comfort. The 2017 Nissan 370Z interior is cutting-edge although it could do a bit more with a bit of technological updates here and there. The cargo capacity is modest, similar to the outgoing model, however, this shouldn’t be a reason to dampen any buyer’s prospects considering it’s a performance car.

In order to minimize noise on its cabin, Nissan says the new model comes equipped with two systems: Active Noise Control and Active Sound Enhancer. Both are geared towards ensuring the darning sounds are minimized to the lowest levels possible.

In terms of competition, the Nissan 370Z 2017 enjoys a lack of direct rivalry but one of the most daring one is perhaps the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Price starts from an MSRP of $26,305 for the coupe, and $33,305 for the Convertible. Chevrolet says the new ZL1 has been reinvented for the sixth generation Camaro and is built purposely to challenge the best there’s in the market. Featured during the New York International Auto Show, the new Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 2017 comes equipped with a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that packs a mind-blowing 640 hp and 640 lbs. ft. of torque.

And thanks to a tauter chassis, it sheds approximately 200 pounds of curb weight. Additional powertrain news has it that the new 2017 Camaro ZL1 will also come with its engine paired to a new ten-speed automatic transmission system. Technologies to expect include launch control, an electronic slip differential, magnetic ride control, traction and stability control, massive Brembo brakes, and a driving modes selector.
