2017 Honda Ridgeline review

The new 2017 Honda Ridgeline fills the bill nicely for anyone looking for a versatile pickup truck. It is agile and comfortable, and offers an impressive hauling ability. Although some shoppers may need a pickup that tows more and handles off-road terrain better, one question to ask yourself is: how much of that do you really need? As you ponder about that, here’s what to expect from this review – latest Ridgeline redesign changes, performance, release date rumors, exterior/interior review and pics, and pricing. Be my guest!

The new 2017 Honda Ridgeline has been redesign from the ground up to offer both work and recreational users an optimized level of versatility and utility in a contemporary, rugged, and urbane midsize pickup truck with class-leading payload and towing capacity; robust cargo-hauling and towing capabilities; a higher level of refined and confident dynamic experience; and best-in-class cabin flexibility and space.

The new 2017 Honda Ridgeline manages to offer a vastly superior ride handling and comfort, top-in-class cabin, and pristine collision management technologies thanks to the highly rigid, tightly sealed, aerodynamic unitized body construction, and features such as the Amplitude Reactive Dampers, and the Advanced Compatibility Engineering safety body structure. Clearly, the 2017 Ridgeline shares much with the 2017 Pilot.

One thing that furthers its appeal is perhaps the carlike ride and handling ability it offers in addition to offering excellent work-truck capability. Unlike its immediate iteration, the new model comes with a stretched wheelbase resulting in increased interior room.

Under the hood, the Ridgeline comes with a powerful 3.5L i-VTEC V6 engine that makes a stonking 280 horsepower – an improvement of 30 hp over the existing model motor. Also, the new motor is credited with improved fuel economy ratings. In comparison to the outgoing model, the new model not only gets more power but also benefits from higher fuel economy ratings. Performance features that make the power and efficiency improvements possible include the torque-vectoring AWD, and the six-speed automatic transmission system with wider ratio spread.

Choices have increased more than ever for buyers of the 2017 Ridgeline. Honda has offered both the RWD and the AWD as options. others include Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, a new eight-inch Display Audio touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, tri-zone automatic climate control, LED exterior and interior lighting, a power sliding rear window, Smart Entry, Remote Engine Start, Push Button Start and more.

The midsize truck segment will be an interesting place now that the 2017 Honda Ridgeline has returned. The Toyota Tacoma, and the Chevrolet Colorado are fine alternatives buyers should check out as well.
