Spy photos of the 2017 Chrysler 300 have been floating around for some few week now, and man did we see this coming. With the Chrysler 300 coming and the Chrysler 300S already out, things are looking up for the luxury sedan marque. According to recent pundit reports, it seems like automaker will set for a comeback in its class just the way it had a breakthrough sometime in 1995 and 2005. Below is our rendering of what we think the new 2017 Chrysler 300 will be like once it debuts sometime this fall. Rumors of its release date are also covered. Enjoy the read!
For starters, the 2017 Chrysler 300 is an all-American luxury sedan that has been offering top-notch style and sophistication for over six decades now. With features such as an impressive fuel economy, world-class quality and craftsmanship, iconic design proportions and inspired materials, best-in-class all-wheel drive, and class-exclusive innovations, the Chrysler 300 was arguably one of the most prestigious vehicle one could own at a reasonable price.
Well, for 2017, pictures captured by our team of dedicated spy photographers seem to rewrite the Chrysler 300 history books thanks to the distinct, stylish designs inside and out. Teaser images of the interior reveal a sophisticated blend of innovative and high quality material choices, and hand-sculpted fluid shapes inspired by state-of-the-art technology, precision craftsmanship and thoughtful, clever features.
Just like the previous iterations before it, the new 2017 Chrysler 300 has been designed using three key principles: maximum utilization of interior space, state-of-the-art technology offering, and extensive use of high-quality materials to evoke an emotional design. And to top it off, Chrysler designers have also incorporated unique elements, materials, and colors to create an interior identity for each model that is distinctively American, beautiful, and comfortable.
Also for the new model year is the powerful version of the regular model – the 2017 Chrysler 300S sedan! During the recently concluded 2016 New York Auto Show, Chrysler dropped a new variant of the Chrysler 300S that now incorporates an Exterior Sport Appearance Package and an Interior Sport Appearance Package. The two packages are offered as standard features for the Chrysler V8 but are optional for the V6 variants.
Beneath the hood of the new 2017 Chrysler 300S are two engines: a 3.6L V6 and a 5.7L V8 engine. The V6 engine provides 300 horsepower, while the V8 cranks out a stonking 363 horsepower just like before. As for the regular 2017 Chrysler 300 model, it is highly likely that Chrysler will still offer it with the 292 horsepower, 3.6L V6 engine that features in the exiting model.
While the Chrysler 300 2017 character may be distinct in most angles, we can’t completely hide that fact that there’re other vehicles in its class that definitely deserve some recognition. Some of these include the 2016 Toyota Avalon, 2017 Chevy Impala, and the 2017 Buick LaCrosse. Others include the Hyundai G80, and the 2017 Kia Cadenza.
2017 Chrysler 300 Release Date & Price
Chrysler is a bit silent when it comes to pricing, as no announcements for the 300 have been made yet. In the meantime, rumors allege the new model will feature a slight price increase over the existing model. So, buyers looking to get the Chrysler 300 should expect to pay an MSRP of around $34K for the 300 Limited Sedan, $40K for the 300C, and around 47K for the 300C Platinum Sedan. The 2017 Chrysler 300S goes for sale for an MSRP starting from $37,015.
Rumors allege its release date has been set for mid-2017.
2017 Chrysler 300 Exterior
With more than six decades in its résumé, the Chrysler 300’s design has been tried and tested. The design illustrates the brand’s futuristic sculptural and fluid forms that further make for head-turning design sophistication all while enhancing the sedan’s signature silhouette. As is evident from the images, the front, side, and rear profiles have all been refreshed. The heavy camouflage however clouds the nitty-gritty details. Details will be updated here on its release date. So be sure to come back.
2017 Chrysler 300 Interior
We are still blind on the interior updates the Chrysler 300 has had. Some things can’t however be gainsaid such as the state-of-the-art technology, high-quality materials, and premium interior ambience to be offered.
We don’t expect the trims to change, as such, shoppers should expect four trims for the 2017 Chrysler 300: Limited, 300C, 300S, and 300C Platinum. The 300 SRT8 review is held separately.
