The new 2017 Audi A3 is even more attractive than before. A raft of changes including newly designed taillights and headlights, new engines, and new driver-assistance systems are available for folks who’ve been waiting for it. And if that’s not enough, the new model also gets an innovative display and operating concept, Audi virtual cockpit. Just like the prior model, four body styles are available for the 2017 A3: Sportback, hatchback (three door), Cabriolet, and Sedan. More updates and news on what to expect, including the estimates for the price, and the release date, are covered in the following review. Please do care to join us.
The dynamic potential of the sporty Audi S3 version has been upped through the various innovations that it sports. The A3 Series, the A3 Sportback e-tron and the Audi A3 Sportback g-tron, on the other hand, offer the most versatile line of drive systems in the compact segment. See, with the Audi A3, the premium badge doesn’t mean it is out of reach. For buyers looking for an excellent cabin stuffed with latest premium features and materials, smooth ride quality, top crash test scores, and powerful yet efficient engines, the $34,745 MSRP the Audi S3 Sedan demands shouldn’t be a big deal on your pocket.
2017 will mark the third year of production for A3 soft-top convertible and compact sedan, and if the photos and images of the new Audi A3 are anything to go by, he honeymoon’s seems to be far from over. Buyers of this pintsize offering from Audi have particularly struck a chord with its modest pricing and dimensions. Talking of dimensions, the newest of the A3 breed will not get any changes over the existing model’s 55.7 inches – height, 175.4 inches – length, and 103.8 inches – wheelbase.
Unlike scores of other entry-level luxury models that have graced this segment, the model under review manages to deliver an authentic performance, quality, and style, and yet keeps the pricing within easy reach. But concessions are of course available. To wit, the cargo and passenger space are limited. But given its dimensions, this is more of an expectation than a surprise. But if you can live with those two major flops, you won’t find much else to gripe about. The Audi A3 2017 more than makes up for the imperfections with its peppy acceleration, sharp handling, well-appointed cabin, and strong fuel economy ratings.
The truth of the matter is that the new Audi A3 isn’t the only vehicle offered in its class. While the capability, quality fit-and-finish cabin, and exterior style of the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class sedan– A3’s primary bogey – are unquestionable, the A3 manages to beat it hands down in various comparison tests. Other rivals include the BMW 2 and 2017 BMW 3 Series, Lexus IS 250, and the 2016 Acura ILX.

2017 Audi A3 Exterior

According to Audi, the new Audi A3 with the 1.0TFSI engine has the lightest curb weight in its class at just 2,535.3 lbs. Yet, it is more rigid and crashproof than before. The exterior color paint remains unchanged however.
2017 Audi A3 Interior
Typical of Audi, the interior is of top quality. Although the interior features many latest technologies, one feature that however catches the eye instantly is the Audi Virtual cockpit display. It is available for the first time in the compact class. It comes in the form of a 12.3” TFT screen that displays the most crucial information to the driver in high resolution graphics.
Audi hasn’t offered us the complete trim level for 2017. But if the existing lineup returns unchanged, then the 2017 Audi A3 lineup should consists of three main trim levels: Premium, Prestige, and Premium Plus.
Six engines are offered for both the USA and European markets: three diesel and three petrol/gasoline engines. Exact info isn’t clear at this juncture, but Audi says the lowest output is 110 horsepower while the highest is 220 horsepower. Quattro all-wheel-drive system is standard across the lineup.
