2016 Honda Odyssey Release Date, Price, Interior, Specs – Mostly a carryover, the new 2016 Honda Odyssey minivan is scheduled to hit Honda dealerships by early August this year with the inclusion of a new Special Edition Odyssey model which will be sold at $34,255. According to Honda statement earlier, the Special Edition model will offer its minivan buyers a ‘high value proposition’.
It will slot in between the EX-L and EX variants, the SE model will add tons of convenience and entertainment features previously available on upper trim models. Some of the features will include a rear seat entertainment system, Sirius XM radio, 115-volt power outlet in the aft entertainment system, and the HondaVAC in-vehicle vacuum cleaner.
Jeff Conrad – senior vice president and general manager of Honda sales had this to say “Our Odyssey customers have told us about some of the features they treasure most and we have packaged them for the Odyssey Special Edition model that will be prove a favorite for American families.
The greatest changes are expected inside of the vehicle, as fans have in the past raised their concerns over the level of comfort and space considering the price tag of the vehicle. Driving in a minivan especially on long trips is considerably strenuous and as such the interior quality of the Odyssey needs some improvements.
The automobile giant earlier announced some additional features besides the space improvement. The changes will affect both the exterior and interior. Other models to consider in the minivan segment are certainly the 2016 Toyota Sienna model and the latest 2016 Kia Sedona.
Exterior Spy Photos – 2016 Honda Odyssey
The initial spy photos that were released were mainly based on the style and structure. And judging from them the vehicle will therefore come with a wider and longer wheelbase, which accounts for the added interior space.
Due to the spacious room, the design language is smoother and sleeker than before. At the front fascia, the most noticeable design changes are on the redesigned headlights and grille. Around back, the taillights also come with redesigned fog lights which will be highlighted by the chrome accents.

Furthermore, the interior will come with cozy materials in order to improve the comfort quality of the interior. Wood grain touches, metallic stresses and calfskin trimmed seats will be some of the changes gracing the cabin upholstery. In overall, the vehicle comes with eight seats placed in three rows, while the hind seats are able to collapse for the sole purpose of creating more cargo volume.
Entertainment add-ons will include a whopping 16” ultra-wide screen framework with a 650-watt sound framework which will be included in the Touring Elite package. Additionally, there will be a 2GB storage for route maps. Safety features will include rear-view cam, lane watch, among others.
2016 Honda Odyssey Engine Specs

No details have been provided for both the release date and price. However, we should expect the vehicle to hit U.S.A market before this fall. The base LX model will come with a price tag of $30,155. Also the EX trim will set you back by $33,305 including shipping costs.
The top of the range model, on the other hand will come with a price tag of $45,630.
