2016 Buick Verano Release Date, MPG, Interior, Engine – We can all agree that the products unmasked during this year’s Shanghai Motor Show had very little significance for would-be buyers here in the United States, but the entry of the new 2016 Buick Verano from China based automaker is sure the real deal. Unfortunately, the release date remains a closely guarded secret, at least for now.
The vehicle has in the past two years in its existence witnessed strong sales volumes, but last year saw some of the volumes drop a little and consequently put the Verano as Buick’s 4th best-selling vehicle in its line-up. For 2016, customers should expect important facelifts meant to resuscitate the dwindling fortunes.
There are doubts casts as to whether the new Verano will debut in the U.S at the exact time in order to be labelled a 2016 year model, although already branded a 2016 year model in China. Turns out, the automaker was able to perfect in all that, as the vehicle has now been pronounced as a 2016 year model in North America.
Some of the novelties present in the fresh 2016 Buick Verano include the addition of a new trim model known as Sport Touring to the existing line-up. The vehicle will be unique in terms of a rear spoiler, 18” wheels, and other interior equipment.
Exterior Colors & Pictures – 2016 Buick Verano
The existing Buick Verano scores poorly in terms of its conservative styling and rumors suggests that the new 2016 Buick Verano will address just that in terms of the exterior facelift. The new styling will be remedied through the design inspiration of Buick Enclave and Buick LaCrosse.
The front fascia comes with horizontal headlights, and expressive blue translucent rings that circle around the projector beam. The grille also takes much of the front profile with its signature waterfall design, while the rear end design also features integrated exhaust outlets and massive LED taillights.
As was expected to feature in the production model are the hood vents that also feature prominently on the vehicle. My predictions were that they would be massive, but it turns out that are actually mid-sized and its surprising that they are located on the corners of the hood just below the windshields.
Undoubtedly, the vehicle has always had its unique personality, but the new vehicle seems to share the same design language as Chevrolet Cruz in terms of the front air intakes and lower bumper consequently giving the Verano a sharper and more confident look.
2016 Buick Verano Interior Changes & Styling
The interior of the new vehicle speaks for itself. It comes featuring all the latest offerings from Buick. Admittedly, my expectations were supposed judging from previous experiences. The cabin makes use of bespoke materials even for its base model. There is extensive use of metallic and wood trim accents throughout the cabin of the 2016 Buick Verano.
Also, Buick provided an option list for its surfaces. Customers can now choose between a fabric seating and a leatherette surface or a more premium quality leather surface. Furthermore, the dashboard now feels cleaner.
The center console bundles together all the pertinent features together, therefore eliminating in cluttering on the dashboard. This is especially good for those customers who may not be keen on searching for misplaced buttons and knobs.
Some of the standard features to expect include power driver’s seat, climate control, electronic parking brake, push-button start, QuietTuning technology, IntelliLink system, cloth upholstery, and OnStar 4G LTE.
Engine Specs – 2016 Buick Verano

Price & Date of Release – 2016 Buick Verano
The pricing of the stunning new 2016 Buick Verano is still under wraps and is yet to be confirmed. However, if the 2015 model is anything to go by, we should expect the price of the 2016 Verano to be slightly below that of the previous year which retailed at $21,065.
