2016 BMW M2 Release Date, Price, Specs, Interior – The new entrant in BMW’s M performance line of vehicles which is expected to be the smallest yet most affordable luxury vehicle has just been revealed. The vehicle under review is the 2016 BMW M2 which is the leading model in BMW’s 2Series lineup. Rumor also alleges the vehicle will be the spiritual successor to the 1M Coupe. Its release date should be expected before this fall.

A 3L turbocharged inline 6 engine powers the new 2016 BMW M2 and features the alloy block and head with direct injection and 4-valve DOHC. The engine is capable of churning out 365 horsepower and 343 pounds of torque. The available transmission system provided with the M2 include either the 7-speed dual-clutch or the 6-speed manual with an auto rev matching.

In order to improve the EPA ratings, the M2 comes equipped with a brake energy regeneration and an automatic start/stop. Furthermore, the coolant pump only works when required and the automatic climate control compressor is disconnected when not in use. The upgrades continue at the back, where the vehicle gains a beefed-up bumper that has horizontal lines sculptures that highlight the reason the vehicle has a firm grip while cruising on the road. Unlike both the M4 and the M235i, the M2’s bumper features some outer extreme reflectors.
