2017 Audi TT RS Release Date, Price, Specs, Interior – The new 2016 Audi TT RS will be provided in both a coupe and convertible configurations. The release date of this marvelous vehicle has been set anywhere before the fall of this year. It will take the stylish but not-so-potent standard model to the next level with a significant number of improvements that will boost its fun-to-drive factor.
These upgrades start with a more compelling version of the base TT’s 4-cylinder engine that is capable of generating an additional 54 hp. Also, there will be a quick-shifting 6-speed automated manual transmission system that will take it to another level of performance.
Other upgrades include 19” alloy wheels with summer performance tires, adaptive suspension and beefier brakes complete the performance package, therefore making the TT RS a more satisfying vehicle to hustle along a winding stretch of road in comparison to the TT. Sadly, the improvements made on the new TT RS come at a cost. However, in case your budget is tight, you should consider any of these alternatives. Chief among them is the refined Chevy Corvette Stingray, Cayman Coupe and Porsche Boxster.
Exterior Colors & Interior Changes – 2017 Audi TT RS
For starters, the Audi TT RS 2016 will certainly be unveiled as either a 2+2 coupe or a two-seat convertible, both of which will be offered as a sole trim.

The convertible, according to well-placed sources, should forego the split-folding aft jump seats to get a fully powered soft folding top.
Optionally available is the Navigation system Plus, which should add, a navigation system, a driver information display, an iPod interface, a lap timer and rear parking sensors. The other selective package includes the Black Optic package which replaces aluminum-look exterior mirrors with carbon fibre, and adds other specially designed interior and exterior styling and trim qualities.

Engine Specs – 2017 Audi TT RS
The brand new Audi TT 2016 will be offered with two engines. The base model will come with a turbocharged 2L 4-cylinder engine rated at juat 230 hp. This power will be transmitted to the front wheels. And according to Audi, this combination will be suited to provide a 0-62 mph sprint in only six seconds.
On the other hand, the 2016 Audi TT RS launch edition roadster should make use of an uprated 310 hp version of the same engine paired to a Quattro AWD system, this will be enough to fire the vehicle from 0-62 mph in just 4.7 seconds.
European models will come fitted with a standard 6-speed manual transmission system, with an optional 6-speed auto transmission system with an S –Tronic system. We are hopeful that unlike the current model, the 2017 Audi TT RS will be offered in the U.S with the manual transmission.
Some of the safety features to expect should include antilock disc brakes, hill-hold assist, traction and stability and front knee/side airbags. Models fitted with the selective navigation system should also have rear parking sensors. Evidently lacking is the rearview camera.
Price & U.S Release Date – 2016 Audi TT RS
Both the 2017 Audi TT and TT RS are set to arrive at U.S dealerships sometime before this fall. The least priced variant should go for sale with a price tag of around $40,000 for the TT and around $52,000 for the TT RS. This, therefore means, the revamped coupe (and eventual roadster) are put in the company’s segment of modern classics like the Porsche Boxster, BMW Z4 and Porsche Cayman.
In overall, the new and revamped 2017 TT will be more sophisticated, made of cutting-edge interior, more powerful engine, improved performance; reduced weight and certainly, better fuel efficiency. However, we found the FWD system to under-deliver in comparison to its RWD rivals.
The above assumptions have been based on informed reports. In light of this, the TT RS will undeniably be in a class of its own.
